Bahrain
Bahrain, located in the Middle East, is also known as the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is an island country with the 2nd freest economy in the Middle East and the North African region. Bahrain's economy largely relies on oil and petroleum. However, it is expected that Bahrain will be the first Persian Gulf country to run out of oil. Therefore, Bahrain has taken actions to diversify its economy. Main industries of Bahrain include: petroleum processing and refining, iron pelletization, fertilizers, aluminum smelting, Islamic and offshore banking, insurance, ship repairing and tourism. Government supports foreign investment and, hence, it is home to several multinational companies. |
